Chakras are spinning energy centers within the body, each with their own special functions and relationships to your body and life! Â There are 7 main chakras within the physical body and we'll focus on one each week! Â
First, we'll learn about what each chakra relates to and see if yours feels under-active, over-active, or balanced. Â Next we'll use yoga to align, balance, and restore energy within your body. Â This will help harmonize your chakra, body, mind, and spirit.
Yoga sessions will include asana, meditation, mudras, chanting, affirmations, and more!
Let's find balance from root to crown!
Dates (Wednesdays):
Root Chakra - July 19, 5-6:15p
The root chakra class will focus on the physical body and a sense of security, balance, and belonging. Â It also sets the foundation for balancing the other chakras.
Sacral Chakra - July 26, 5-6:15p
The sacral chakra class will focus on emotion, sensuality, creativity & enjoyment.
Solar Plexus Chakra - August 2, 5-6:15p
The solar plexus chakra class will focus on personal power, self-esteem, self-confidence, and igniting the fire within.
Heart Chakra - August 9, 5-6:15p
The heart chakra class will focus on love, harmony, and compassion. Â The heart chakra connects the lower physical/emotional chakras with the upper mental/spiritual centers.
Throat Chakra - August 16, 5-6:15p
The throat chakra class will focus on expression of your thoughts, feelings, and inner world.
Third Eye Chakra - August 23, 5-6:15p
The third eye chakra class will focus on intuition, extrasensory perception, awareness, and manifestation.
Crown Chakra - August 30, 5-6:15pÂ
The crown chakra class will focus on connection to the divine and the universe, as well as becoming your purest being.
Can I sign up for just one class? No, sorry. Â The knowledge and healing builds on themselves from week to week.
What if I have to miss a class or two? Â No worries. Â Life happens, enjoy!
What to bring:
- yoga mat
- water
- journal/notebook
- any props you may have eg block, strap, blanket (optional)
- anything you love for savasana eg socks, eye mask (optional)
- openness to learn, heal, bend, and grow
